ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
Football patrons at the Basin 'Reserve tomorrow are assured of an interesting afternoon's sport.; On No. 1 ground the final trial match prior to the selection of the Wellington representatives to meet Canterbury and also the English amateur team now on its way to New Zealand, is to take place. The selector (Mr. G. Aers) has combed the Wellington district and, besides local players, two/Manawatu men, Oman and Allan, and three Wairarapa players. A. Bell, W. Bell, and Longworth, are included in the teams. With all players striving to gain representative honours, a fast and bright game should eventuate. On No. 2 ground Marist and Seatoun are to meet,in the championship round. Both these teams are composed of young and dashing players and a sparkling game should result. These games aro to commence at 2.45 p.m. and will be preceded by curtain-raisers.
