ASSAULT CHARGES

CONVICTIONS AND. FINE

On two charges of assault arising from a scuffle which occurred in a Jessie Street boarding-house on the night of March 31, Frank George Taylor appeared in the Magistrate's Court today before Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M. He pleaded not guilty. After hearing the evidence the Magistrate convicted the defendant on both charges. On one the accused was convicted and fined £2, in default 14 days' imprisonment, and on the other he was convicted and ordered to pay costs. He was ordered to pay £1 of the flno to Norman Gibson Hogwood, one of the complainants.
