It is understood that the well-know>.. actress Katherine Cornell will visit Australia in May, 1938, and will thence proceed to New Zealand as part of * world tour. \
Her repertory will include Shakespeare, Shaw, and Ibsen plays. ■
Katharine Cornell is America's most famous actress, with a long list of stage successes to her name. A woman of charming personality, gifted with good looks and a remarkable histrionic ability, she is the. idol of New York. Her latest stage triumph was in G. Bernard Shaw's "Saint Joan," on Broadway. Her visit to Australia and New Zealand will provide a stage epoch,, only rivalled by the recent visit of Dame Sybil Thorndike.
