"Pennies From Heaven."

"Pennies From Heaven," the musical comedy . which commences at the De Luxe 'Theatre tomorrow, deals witn an ex-convict who becomes a wandering troubadour anxious to deliver a letter from a condemned murderer^in prison to . the. family of. the man he killed. The family proves to consist of Patsy, a little renegade girl, and Gramp, her improvident' grandfather. Larry, the vagabond, takes them in charge and tries to keep the child out of an orphanage and the man out of a home for the aged. In doing so he crosses trails with Susan, a young and pretty country welfare worker who is being forced to ship Patsy to an institution. In the ensuing adventures, which are often hilarious, Larry falls in loye with Susan. Patsy and Gramp wind up for the nonce in their respective institutions, and Susan runs away. Madge Evans, prettier than ever, does extremely well as Susan, and thirteen-vear-old Edith Fellows gives another of her magnificent performances. Donald Meek is; as always, everything one could wish. for in the way of mildmannered gentlemen. In the supporting feature, "Girl Overboard, a thrilling mystery story, Gloria Stuart arid Walter Pidgeon play the leading roles.
