REPORTED OFFERS DENIED
Reports emanating from Gisborne to the effect that G. W. New, on his recent trip there, was understood to have made an offer of £800 for Pennycomequick and another of £700 for the unraced Hunting Song two-year-old colt Mendelssohn are given 'an emphatic denial' by New, who states that he made no offer at all for the horses mentioned. ■ .
