The Wellington junior cricket srepre? sentatives:retained,the G-annet^Gup^by defeating the Hastings team on the first innings. The match * was "interrupted by rain after Wellington had had an innings, but eventually the Hastings visitors were able to complete their innings, after which, in a follow-on, they lost six wickets cheaply. Wellington's score was 245, to which Hastings replied with 134 (Mahoney 40, Snaddon 22, Rouse 18, McCarthy 25) and 84 for six wickets (Drinkrow 26 not out, McCarthy 30 not out). For Wellington McKeowen took six wickets for 33 runs,: Bentley three for 20, Boddy two for 9, and Young two for .15.
