GERMAN AMBASSADOR
CHANGE AT WASHINGTON
WASHINGTON, March 23.
The Secretary "of State, Mr. Coi-dell Hull, has approved of Herr Hitler's withdrawal of the German Ambassador to Washington, Herr Hans Luther, and . the appointment of Herr Hans Dieckhoff.
It is believed that the change *s not linked with the incidents in which the Mayor of New York, Mr. F. H. La Guardia, criticised the German Chancellor! '

BERLIN, March 24.
Dr. H. H. Dieckhoff, Secretary of State at the Foreign Office, has been appointed Ambassador at Washington. Dr. yon Mackensen, son of the wartime General, and son-in-law of the Foreign Minister, Count yon Neurath, succeeds Dr. Dieckhoff.
