TOKIO, March 24.
Reports from Kobe state that a conference on Australian freights decided' to raise the rates between Australia and Japan by 10 per cent., excepl those for frozen meat, which will be raised 50 per cent. AJs'o the New Zealand-Japan rates will be raised from 5 to 10 per cent. All will become effective on June 1.
This is part of the general advance throughout the Western Pacific.
