STRONG TEA MARKETS
The Colombo tea market this week was very strong for all descriptions, according to private advices received in Wellington. Qpmmqn teas advanced by id a lb and medium and better grades i&. Quality showed a slight improvement. 4 The London markei: was generally strong and active, prices for common teas advancing by id to id.

"Wright has received the following report on the Colombo tea sale of March 23:—London buyers were particularly active at yesterday's tea sale of 2,125,0001b. and as. a result of this, prices advanced for better grades about 4d a lb. Common teas were firm to dearer. The quality of offerings was good. The next sale will be held, on April 6. . ,
