CIVIC FAREWELL

TONIGHT'S FUNCTION

A civic farewell to the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) will be held in the Town Hall tonight. The Mayor.(Mr. T. C. A. Hislop) will preside.

Mr. Savage is leaving on Saturday evening for England w.here he will represent the Dominion' at the Coronation of King George VI, and this will be his last public appearance before his departure.

A programme of speeches and musical items has been arranged. The function will commence at 8 o'clock, and the doors ,will open an hour earlier.
