FLAGS FLYING
■ '•'.For..the:-first time: the Wellington Cricket Association had its own special flag flying at the Basin Reserve. The flag is yellow arid black in colour, and bears the letters W.C.A'; On the pavilion poles were the Union Jack and the New Zealand ensign, and on the staff near : the caretaker's residence the ,M.C.C. - team's flag was hoisted. A big marquee: ■on the eastern rise \■• of.. the ground and the extra provision of seating accommodation help to give the Basin Reserve- a cricket .gala appear-ance,'!',.1;'!!.-!1-.'
