into it. • ' If the silver is stained, it should be washed in hot water and soda to get rid of grease, and then rubbed well with the paste. Finally it should be rinsed in warm water and dried.
One of the best ways of saving time and trouble over the * care of silver is to rub it up after washing with a special polishing cloth.

Rudkin, for many years a teacher at the Otaki State School, died at Auckland on Saturday, writes-"The Post's" Otaki correspondent. The deceased had been in delicate health for some time. A husband and two young children'survive her. Mesdames R. Hughes and Percy Taylor'(Otaki) and 1 Mrs.' Hugh ' Cockrell (Levin)- are sisters and Mr. Alf Judd a brother of the late Mrs. Rudkin.
