EASTER TRAVEL

EXTRA RAILWAY SERVICE

* So heavy was the passenger traffic handled during the Christmas and New Year holidays that the Railway Department, anticipating a repetition during the Easter vacation, has made special preparations, much more extensive than those of past years, to cope with the expected volume of business. If the reservations and inquiries made during the past week are an indication of the number who will be travelling, bookings should be much in excess of those experienced last Easter, and it is expected that all the extra passenger trains arranged tor will be filled to capacity. Full information regarding the extra trains on the Main Trunk, New Plymouth, Napier, and Wairarapa routes is set out in an advertisement today, and should be examined by intending travellers.
