(By. Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, This Day. All schools in the Southland district have been closed till after Easten Until yesterday the only schools officially closed were those in the city and within a five-mile radius of it, but it has now been decided to close the other schools as some attendances have been seriously affected lor a variety of reasons. Teachers at both primary and secondary schools have suggested that there should be a curtailment of holidays later in the year, and that subject is under consideration by the Southland Education Board.
