LEFT LYING ON HIGHWAY

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. Ralph Petitt, a nightwatchman at the Feilding Freezing Works, was knocked down by a car last night while cycling to work. The car pulled up while a damaged mudguard was attended to, and then proceeded on without ascertaining the consequences to Pettitt, who was later removed to hospital with head injuries. The bicycle was lighted and had a white rear mudguard.
