TASMAN FLIGHTS
IMPERIAL AIRWAYS TESTS
(Received March 8, 10.20 a.m.)
CANBERRA, This Day.
Arrangements made by Imperial Airways for the conduct of experimental flights between Australia and New Zealand are not to be interpreted as an indication that any understanding has been reached that Imperial Airways will operate this service, said the Prime Minister (Mr. J. A. Lyons). The future of the Tasman air service was still quite open, and negotiations were still proceeding between the Commonwealth and the New Zealand Governments. .
