NAPIER, March 6. Glorious weather conditions prevailed for the second day of the .Napier Park Meeting. There was .a laree attendance. The track was m excellent order. The totahsStoi handled £8868 10s. an increase of £3593 10s on the second day last year. For the meeting the total was £14,493 10s, an increase of £5165 10s for the meeting.

Results: —

Omahu Highweight Handicap, £100; U miles.—s Curie, 10.13 (Burgess), 1; 4 Lord Hereford, 9.5, 2; 2 Tareha, 9.0, 3 Also started: 1 Royal Routine 10.5, 3 Lady Wessex 9.5. Royal Routine headed the field past the stand the first time round, with Curie last, Round the back Lady Wessex moved up and at the' bend Tareha was handily placed. Tareha led into the straight with Curie still last, but a furlong from home Curie came through to win easily by two lengths from Lord Hereford. Lady Wessex followed Tareha. Time. 2min 9 2-ssec. Trial Handicap, £60; 6 furlongs,—l Nereus. 9.0 (Anderson), 1; 4: Kings Hope, 8.7, 2; 7 Allmetic, 7.7. 3. Also started: 3 Agog 8.12, 8 Clavercourt 8 7 5 Tupai 7.7, ll Eidos 7-7, 10 Triumph 7 7 2 Asset 7.7, 6 Grey Molly 7.7, 9 Mon Ace 7.7. The field was well strung out at the start, Asset leading from King's Hope, Nereus, and Allmetic. Entering the straight- Asset ran off the track, leaving King s Hop? in front, but the favourite came with a strong challenge to win by two lengths from King's Hope, who was half a length clear of Allmetic. Agog was fourth. Time, lmin 14 4-ssec.

Telegraph Hack Handicap, £100; 6 furlongs.—s Bly Gajn, 8.13, 1; 4 Hunter's Morn, 8.13, 2; 3 Tycoon, 9.8 3. Also started: 2 Quake 8.12, l Gironde 8.3, 6 Recitation 7.7, 6 Hunting Spy 7.7, 9 Mohua 7.7, 8 Royal Solo 7.7. •Hunter's Morn got away to a bad start, but soon took the lead, heading the field to the straight. Here the field was well bunched and a good finish, saw Bly Gain win by a length. Hunter's Morn was a length and a halt in front of Tycoon, and Gironde was fourth. Time, lmin 13 2-ssec.

GREENMEADOWS HACK HANDICAP, £150; 1 mile and a distance. ,3 Soho, 8.10 (Marsh) 1 1 Gay Hunter, 9.5 2 3 King's Lancer, 9.6 3

Also started: 4 Hamarin 7.7, 5 Black Fox 7.5, 6 Mahaanui 7.7.

The tapes, lifted to a ragged start, from which Mahaanui hit the front, followed by Black Fox. These two led the field to the straight, where jjoho came through from last and scored a comfortable win a length clear of Gay Hunter, who was one length and a half in front of King's Lancer. Haniarin was fourth. Time, lmin 55 l-ssec.

Kuap Handicap, £100; two-year-olds; 5 furlongs—3 Screen Star, 8,.5 (Caveney), 1; 2 Money Raid, 8.3, 2; 1 Son and Heir, 8,11, 3. Also started: 5 Lindrum 7.4, 4 Kalika 7.9, 7 Mary Rose 7.7, 6 Tullamore 7.7, 8 Etzel 7.7. Money Raid was first out from a poor start, followed by Screen Starßand Son and Heir, this being the order right to the last few yards, where in a great finish Screen Star got home by a neck, with a head between the next two. Tullamore was fourth. Time, lmin 2sec.

St. Patrick's Handicap, £130; 7 furlongs—2 Sansfoy, 7.13 (Forsyth), 1; 1 Passion Flower, 9.0, 2; 5 Wasteland, 7.7. 3. Also started: 3 Pennycomequick 8.9, 4 Lavina 8.7. Wasteland led all the way to the straight, where Sansfoy and Passion Flower fought out the finish, the former winning easily. Lavina was fourth. Time, lmin 27sec. ■

Wharerangi Hack Handicap. £100; 7 furlongs.—l Lucullus Lad, 9.0 (Marsh), 1: 2 Bly Gain, 8.10, 2; 4 Tractile 8.0, 3. Also started: 3 Trailer 7,11, 6 Helios 7.7, 5 Parry 7.7, Helios and Lucullus Lad were the first out and held the lead into the straight, where Lucullus Lad went on to win easily by two lengths, with half a length between second and third. Parry was fourth. Time, lmin 28sec.
