Talisman Dubbo, Karangahake, reports for the period ended February 20:—Dubbo level —Sloping: Ore obtained from 330 ft north to 400 ft north averaged good values for width of 24in. The stopes from 640 ft to 680 ft north produced ore of good value for width of 20in. No 1 level—Stopes: The ore broken on the vein 46ft south of the main rise assayed very good values for width of Bin. This stope is now worked iup to the Dubbo level, above which it is still intact, south of the main rise. No. 2 level —Drive south is now out 980 ft. The country rock is very heavy owing to the presence of water and requires constant timbering. The reef is 15in wide and the ore saved is of fair value. Stopes: The ore obtained from the stopes extending from 730 ft to 880 ft south has been of good average value, the average width broken being 22in. No. 4 level —The main level south of the main crosscut to the east | on the Maria lode formerly sloped out 1 by the older company was cleaned out, repaired, and timbered a further distance of 24ft, making a total distance south of 124 ft. The drive follows the course of the reef, which is incased in good, firm country rock. BIG RIVER. Big River Gold Mines reports for the week ended March 2:—No. 4 level: The centre winze was cleaned out, timbered, and advanced 4ft, making a total of 51ft down. No. 5 level: The rise was-advanced 14ft, making the total of 63ft 6in in height. The south drive was advanced 9ft through reef track carrying stringers and small boulders of stone, in which could be seen fine gold. "Prima Donna" reef: Three samples taken from the reef on surface and assayed disclosed low values, but which warrant further work being done in expectation of higher values coming in. The last round fired in south drive of No. 5 level exposed good stone in the face; 3ft wide at ran level and 2ft wide 4ft 6in up face. The shoot of ore is dipping north and appears to be going strong underfoot. Several indications are that a strong body of stone lies ahead' of the face. Since the above was written the reef has widened out to 4ft, and stone shows both coarse and fine gold. WHITE'S ELECTRIC DREDGE. The White's Electric gold dredging return is 20oz lOdwt from 8000 yards treated in 135 hours. ARGO RESUMES. The Argo dredge recommenced work on Friday after a stoppage of six weeks for repairs. TONGKAH HARBOUR TIN. Net profit of Tongkah Harbour Tin Dredging Company, NX. (Siam), for the year ended September 30, was £15 990, against £16,957 for 1935. Since the close of the year a dividend of Is a share in sterling has been paid. Purchase of assets and undertakings of Southern Siamese Tin Dredging, Limited, at Ronpibon. Siam, has already proved beneficial to the company The dredge at Ronpibon is obtaining excellent recoveries of tin, making satisfactory profits. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, March 7. The Mossy Creek return was 21oz Bdwts for 134 hours from 9000 yards. DUNEDIN, March 6. The Gillespie's Beach dredge obtained a return of 109 ounces for 126 hours The Waipapa Beach return was 6oz 18dwt for 105 hours.
