GAOL FOR CAR DRIVER
(By Telegraph-Pi-ess Association.) NAPIER, This Day. A plumber named Thomas A. McCalister was sent to gaol for one month for being intoxicated while in charge of a car. The accused was prohibited and his licence was suspended for a year.
Charged with obtaining £2 5s from the South British Insurance Company by means of false pretences, Alexander James Churton. aged 37. a labourer, appeared before Mr. A. Anderson, J.P., in the Petone Court today and was remanded to appear at Wellington- on Wednesday.
