TRAMWAYS MATCH
The cricket match for the Lauchlan Cup between the Wellington Tramways eleven and the Christchurch Tramways team was continued at the Kilbirnie Recreation Ground today. Wellington, who in their second innings had scored 78 runs for the.loss of two wickets when stumps were drawn yesterday, carried their score to 208 at the fall of the last wicket today, Clothier making top score with 63. Two first offenders for drunkenness were convicted and discharged by Mr. T. H. Coltman, J.P., in the Mount Cook Police Court today. What is claimed to be the world's largest hollow-forging-is that made on a 6000-ton press'at the works of Thomas Firth and John Brown, Ltd.,' Sheffield. It weighs approximately 284,0001b (125 tons).
