A professional boxing contest : between Young Gildo, of Manila, Philippine Islands, and Clarrie Rayner, of Blenheim, was, won on points by the Filipino at the end-of 12 three-minute rounds. . It, was,a .very spirited contest throughout, Rayner holding the advantage over' the .first half-dozen rounds, but then fading away to lose the remaining .rtiunds and with them the decision:
