FOUND UNCONSCIOUS

MOTOR-CYCLIST'S DEATH

AUCKLAND, February 28.

Found lying unconscious at the roadside on the main highway about a mile east of Te Puke last night, a motor-cyclist, John Douglas Aitkin, single, aged 21, son 01. Mr. John Aitkin, Rotorua, died in the Tauranga Hospital early this morning from a fracture of the skull.

Mr. Aitkin was employed as a shop assistant by the Tauranga branch of the Farmers' Trading Company and hs left the premises on his motor-cycle shortly after, 8.30 p.m. No one witnessed the accident, which was apparently caused by the failure of his motor-cycle to negotiate a sharp bend in the road.
