COLLEGE OLD GIRLS
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
The annual meeting •of the Wellington College Old Girls' Association was held on Saturday at the Girls' College, Thorndon, when Mrs. Urquhart presided over a fair attendance of members. '
Feeling reference was made to the death of Mrs. Ena Dawson, which occurred in June of last year. Mrs. Dawson, who was a former old girl, and later a member of the teaching staff, was a tower of strength in the Old Girls' Association, said Mrs. Urquhart, and throughout her life was an inspiration to all.
All present stood in silence as': a mark of respect.
Miss Lillian Mitchell, secretary, .also referred to Mrs. Dawson's death, and spoke of her splendid courage and sympathy. She mentioned that an Ena Dawson Scholarship had been set up, and that so far £123 had.been donated. The fund was still;open.
Reference was made to "Baby Jean," a babe in the St. Barnabas Home, maintained by. the association. The
