HAWKE CUP MATCH

(By Telegraph—Press Association.)

PALMERSTON N., This Day,

The Hawke Cup cricket match, Manawatu (holders) v. Hawke's Bay, was continued this morning in dull weather. Hawke's Bay, resuming their second innings with one wicket down for 8 runs, a deficit of 76, lost several wickets fairly rapidly, only Kauter and T. Reaney reaching double figures. . T. Reaney did not survive long- and his brother also failed to stay. Lambert, however,' carried on the score with the help of McCarthy until the latter fell to smart stumping by Norris off Moloney. Burns survived with Lambert until lunch when Hawke's Bay had lost seven wickets for 111. ■ Details: — ' ■
