MOTOR-CYCLE ACCIDENT

(Special to the "Evening Post.")

MASTERTON, This Day,

When Herbert John Houghton, a young farm hand, of Bideford, was descending the Kahumingi Hill on his motor-cycle on Saturday night he struck the rear end of a motor-car and skidded and crashed in loose metal. He was later admitted to the Masterton Hospital suffering from extensive head injuries. While he had regained consciousness, his condition yesterday was reported to be rather serious.

The accident occurred about 7.20 p.m. on the Masterton-Castlepoint Hoad, about twelve miles from Masterton. The injured man was proceeding towards Masterton and the motor-car was travelling in the same direction.
