Under the will of the late Elizabeth McCready, whose estate was sworn at £20,000, the sum of £1000 is bequeathed to the Presbyterian Church to establish a scholarship at the Theological College, £200 goes to the church extension" fund, £200 to foreign missions, £300 to the , minister and session of the Roslyn Presbyterian Church, and £100 to the Otago Bible Society.

On Sunday the English Home Counties Society held their annual picnic at Belmont, nearly a hundred being present, and an enjoyable day was spent in delightful surroundings.'; Mrs. Thompson, the wife of the vice-presi-dent, presented the prizes.
