FEILDING STOCK SALE

FEILDING, February 26. At the Feilding stock sale today 30,000 sheep were yarded, and for good quality breeding ewes the market was firm. Two-tooths reached 48s 2d. For lower-mouthed ewes, the market was slightly easier. The sale opened sluggishly, but brightened later, and a full clearance was made. A small entry of fat cattle sold at late rates. Boners were slightly easier. Fat.cattle: Cows, £3 15s to £8 2s 6d; P.A. cows, £7 15s to £7 18s; heifers, £3 10s to £3 16s; P.A. heifera, to £7 12s 6d; Jersey steers, to £6 ss; vealers, £2 to £2 14s. Dairy cattle: Springing cows, £4: to £6 17s Cd; springing heifers, £3 Is to £6 7s Cd; Jersey bulls, £2 6s to £5 3s; weaner heifers, £2 to £3. -Store cattle: Cows, 30s to £5; empty cows, £2 19s to £5 8s 6d; heifers, £2 to £2 .16s; empty heifers, £3.

Sheep: Breeding ewes, two-tooths, 24s 9d to 48s 2d; b.f.'s, 21s 9d to 25s 7d; four-year, 26s 9d to 31s 3d; four- and five-year, 21s to 295; five-year, 15s to 30s; five- and six-year, 22s 6d to 245; s.m., 13s 6d to 23s 6d; f.m.,. 22s 9d; four- and six-tooth, 30s 4d to- 34s 9d; six-tooth to five-year, 30s 4d; ewe lambs, 32s 3d, Fat sheep: Ewes, 15s 7d to 20s 4d; lambs, 17s to 225; b.f.'s; 16s 5d to 17s 6d; wethers, 20s to 26s 6d. Poultry: Hens, 9d to 2s Id; pullets, 5s 3d to 7s. 6d; cockerels, 2s 3d to 2s lid; ducks, Is lOd to 2s 4d.
