AERODROME CHARGE
The City Council decided yesterday that the charge for admission to the Rongotai Aerodrome, over which there has been a good deal of criticism at times, should be reduced from one shilling to sixpence.
Another decision made in connection with the aerodrome concerned an arrangement between the council and Defence Department as to the maintenance of electric power and water pipe lines between Moa Point and Palmer Head, where the Department has recently undertaken certain developments. The services pass over land acquired by the city in connection with aerodrome development, though this land is not within the aerodrome boundaries.
Most of the business transacted was of formal nature.
