NEW BLOOD WANTED
ENGLAND'S SELECTORS
(Received February 27, 11.3d a.m.)
LONDON, February 26.
The nomination of E. R. T. Holmes and A. W. Richardson as candidates for the election of cricket Test selectors foreshadows radical changes in the personnel lately of the selection committee.
It has. been strongly felt that the selectors are out of touch with modern first-class cricket and are lacking in practical experience, and that younger blood, including two playing cricketers, should be elected.
The present committee, Messrs. P. F. Warner, P. A. Perrin, and T. A. Higson, will stand for re-election, and consequently a ballot may be necessary.
The youngest of the present selectors is Mr. Perrin, who was born in 1876. . Both Mr. Warner and Mr. Higson were born in 1873.
