NEWCASTLE TROUBLE
COLLIERY BARRICADED
SYDNEY, February 26.
A message from Newcastle states that thirty' coal miners armed with cases of gelignite, detonators, and fuses, have begun a "stay-in" strike in the North Wallarah colliery and barricaded the only two entrances to the colliery. The men's.action is due to a dispute regarding the amount of coal to be filled in the skips since the introduction of the electric driller.
