PREDICTIONS FOR 1937

The 1937 edition of the "Aspro" Year Book is to hand. It gives every indication of being more popular than ever this year. Consisting of 64 pages with an attractive view of Mounts Cook and Tasman in full colours on the cover, considerable space is devoted to the forecasting of events all over the world. The predictions made in 1036 were remarkable for the number fulfilled. Many new authoritative articles contributed by experts are also included. No less than 352,000 copies have been printed for distribution to New Zealand homes. Some of the contents that must interest readers are:—l 936 predictions fulfilled; astrological predictions for 1937; directions for taking "Aspro"; "The Stars Reveal Your Little Ways"; How to Plant by the Stars; Setting Eggs by the Stars; Planting Charts; The Phases of the Moon; Fascinating Facts About Numbers; The New Zealand Quadruplets; Racing and Sporting Records; The Daily Guide and Birthday Information for 1937; Table of Weights and Measures. The printing was carried out in the "Evening Post" Printing Works, the designs being supplied by Australian artists and the blocks made in the Process Department of the "Evening Post." The printing Of the coloured cover necessitated six different operations, and the whole of the printing, binding, and distributing of the booklets to every home in New Zealand through the Post Office was completed in the shortest possible time.

A full-sized lynx has been captured near Tegernsee, in Bavaria. Over 3ft 7in long and 2ft high -in the shoulders, it weighed about 381b. Though often found in the wooded regions of Russia, Hungary, and Scandinavia, the lynx is almost unknown in Germany.
