Silver Ring, who is due to reappear at the Wellington Meeting next month, has been.in steady work for some time at Coal Creek and appears to have completely recovered from the soreness that affected him at Auckland after his return from Melbourne,- says a Greymouth report. His trainer J.Stewart is well satisfied with his progress and condition and will probably gallop him at Omoto this weekend.

Present intentions are to race Silver Pang at Trentham next month, later at Riccarton, and then at Awapuni. where he will attempt to win his third Awapuni Gold Cup. Provided the chestnut regains his form, he will probably make another trip to Australia next spring in quest of further weight-for-age honours.
