ARRIVAL AT AUCKLAND

AUCKLAND, February 26,
' American prospects in the British open golf championship in- July ;are considered bright by Walter Hagen, who arrived by the Monterey accompanied by J. H. Kirkw'ood on a visit to New Zealand and later -Australia. Hagen said the United States was sending a team.of ten to the championships. He and Kirkwbod would take part. Referring to ; 'the suggested limitation on the number of.clubs in the golf bag, Hagen said he thought the limitation to fourteen;. clubs would bring out artistry in golf and be a better test of golfers.:
' In order to cater for the large attendance expected at Hutt Park on Saturday next, the Railway Department has made arrangements for a fast and frequent train service to run direct to the course. A popular fare has. been provided for the occasion.
