OFF THE SPANISH COAST

MARSEILLES, February 25.

The Landoyery Castle (10.609 tons), when proceeding to Marseilles from Gibraltar with 300 passengers, struck a mine off Cape Cerbere, where the Franco-Spanish frontier joins the coast, resulting in an explosion forward which heavily listed the vessel and threatened to flood the number 1 and number 2 holds. The vessel hove to outside Port Vendres, which it reached under its own steam. Launches are standing by to take off tne passengers if necessary. ' ■ • ■ . ■
