CORONATION CONTINGENT

The fifty officers and men: ' -wh». have been selected to represent New. Zealand in the ceremonial to be ob« served on the occasion of the Coronation of King George VI are assembling at Trentham tod&y. They will go. before the medical board tomorrow for examination and their short but intensive training will begin on ■■Monday. The course of training which is.to fit the men to take part in the ceremonial parades in' England will consist of physical training and a greati deal of ceremonial drill. ■ :

The contingent is composed of-mem-bers of the New Zealand Permanent Forces, members of the' Territorial Forces, eight men who served in the Great. War, a Maori who served in the Great War. a South African War veteran who is also a Great War veteran. The contingent is to leave New Zealand on March 11 and will go' hits barracks upon arrival in England. Tht return journey will be commenced on May 27.
