CORONATION CONTINGENT
The fifty officers and men: ' -wh». have been selected to represent New. Zealand in the ceremonial to be ob« served on the occasion of the Coronation of King George VI are assembling at Trentham tod&y. They will go. before the medical board tomorrow for examination and their short but intensive training will begin on ■■Monday. The course of training which is.to fit the men to take part in the ceremonial parades in' England will consist of physical training and a greati deal of ceremonial drill. ■ :
The contingent is composed of-mem-bers of the New Zealand Permanent Forces, members of the' Territorial Forces, eight men who served in the Great. War, a Maori who served in the Great War. a South African War veteran who is also a Great War veteran. The returned soldiers' have been re-enlisted for the period thecontingent will be absent from New Zealand. . ■■'"'.-'■ '■.'■■'■■
The contingent is to leave New Zealand on March 11 and will go' hits barracks upon arrival in England. Tht return journey will be commenced on May 27.
