DISPUTE ARISES

v PROMOTER AND BOXER

BAER'S LONDON FIGHT

NEW YORK, February 24,

Brigadier-General C. H. Critchley, the London promoter, has announced that he intends to appear today at a meeting of the State Athletic Commission to ask for a ruling on his dispute with Max Baer in regard to his contract to fight in London in May against the winner of the Ben Foord-Joe Farr bout. Brigadier-General Critchley contends that the contract forbids Baer to engage in any prior bout, but Baer is matched with Bob Pastor at the Madison Square Garden for March 19.
