WAIWETU CLUB'S YEAR

The twenty-seventh annual meeting of members of the Waiwetu Club was held on Wednesday night. There was a good attendance of members. The annual report showed that the club had had a successful season, membership being fully maintained. Competitions were well supported and the trophy winners came from short and long handicappers in equal shares. Finances showed a sound position although a small loss was shown on the year's working. The Club was represented at the New Zealand championships for the first time and Mr. Holland was to be congratulated on reaching the amateur semi-final. In inter-club games both Watt and Ramsh Cup teams did well to finish runnersup to Shandon, to'whom the clubs congratulations were extended on their wins.
