COLOMBO TEA MARKET.
The Colombo tea market this week, according to private advices received in Wellington, was very strong and active for all grades, common teas advancing' by id a lb and medium and better grades by id to Id according to quality which, at present, is very useful. Small supplies continue to come to hand.

DUNEDIN, February 24,
Mr. L. M. Wright has received the following cabled report on the Colombo tea auction of February 23:—At yesterday's auction of 1,500,0001b, common teas were id dearer, medium kinds remained firm at last week's quotations, while fine kinds were dearer. Generally ,the quality of- the offering was good. One and three-quarter million pounds • have been catalogued for sale at next week's auction.
The prices of eggs on the Wellington wholesale market today were quoted at. Is lOd and Is lid a dozen for first grade and 2s for super.
