ANNUAL TOURNEY
THE STABLEFORD RESULTS

DANNEVIRKE, This Day.
Nineteen professional golfers from all parts of the Dominion commenced the annual professional tournament at Dannevirke today in fine, warm weather. The events include the Dunlop Stableford handicap competition and .the Silver King bogey handicap. The first and second roundd of the championship will be played on Friday and the third and final rounds on Saturday. C. C. Clements. will be defending his title, and amongst ex-champions competing are A. J. Shaw, A. Murray, D. Mclntosh, and E. J. Moss. The Stableford handicap competition resulted:—B. J. Smith (Auckland), 39; U C. Clements (Christchurch), 35; G. W. Melvin (Hamilton), 34; R. C. Butters (Miramar), 33; T. P. Dyke (Motueka), 33; J. Lambie (Hastings), 33; J. D. Mclntosh (Wellington), 32; A. J. Shaw (Wellington), 32; J. A. Galloway (Palmerston North), 31; A. Guy (Dannevirke), 31; 'W. Allbon (Gisborne), 30; X Williams (Christchurch), 30; H. M. Burridge (Shandon), 30; T. S. Galloway (Auckland), 30; E. J. Moss (Auckland) 30; A. Dyke (Christchurch), 25; W. W. Kay (Hawera), 25; John Watt (Wellington), 24.
