RECEPTION TO DELEGATES

NEW PRESIDENT'S ADDRESS

With the official opening by his Excellency the GovernorGeneral, Viscount Galway, in the morning, and the Mayoral reception to the .delegates in the evening, the biennial conference of the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association was formally started yesterday. After the opening a number of papers on medical subjects were'given. At the evening function the new president, Dr, T. D. M. Stout, of Wellington, was inducted by the retiring president, Dr. R. H. Hogg, of Blenheim, and handed the badge of .office.
