RIMUTAKA RAILWAY
MOVE FOR IMPROVEMENT
(Special to the "Evening Post.")
MASTERTON,' This Day.
Seme discussion took place at the meeting of the Masterton Chamber of Commerce yesterday on the subject of the Rimutaka railway. It was decided to invite the Mayor of Masterton (Mr. Tf. Jordan) to attend the next meeting of the chamber to discuss the question.
It was pointed out that nothing had been heard from the Government on the subject since a representative Wairaraoa and Wellington deputation was promised by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) in May last year that the results of a complete investigation into the question of improving the railway would be made known.
