SILVER JEWEL CASE
GIFT FOR MAYOR'S DAUGHTER
Mr. T. C. A. Hislop was recently presented with a jewel case for his infant daughter by the members of the Wellington City Council. The case is made of beautiful old silver, and is engraved with the child's initials and the crest of the city. The presentation, which took place in the committee room at the Town Hall, was made by Councillor M. F. Luckie. who said that there had not been many, instances of a child being born to a Mayor in office, and that the presentation was made to show the councillors' good will towards the Mayor and as an earnest of good wishes for him and his family.
Flower head-dresses are worn at the centre front over the brow.
