PROTEST BY FARMERS

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day.

The provincial council ol the Farmers' Union carried a resolution protesting against the Government condoning the action of the Auckland freezing workers in flouting the arbitration award and against the arbitrary action of the Minister of Labour m ordering employers to pay higher than the award rate. Mr. A. C. Cameron stated that the Government had established a dangerous precedent in showing that it could be bounced by. the vote of a controlling union, and the employers could imagine what would happen now when labour difficulties arose.
