The Minister of Agriculture (the Hoii. W. L. Martin) will leave Wellington tonight on a tour of the South Island, where he will inspect the activities of his Department. He will arrive back in Wellington on March 3. TheMinister will be accompanied by.Mrs. Martin and Miss Martin; .

The Hon. Mr. Justice Whitney, a resident Judge at. Singapore for the last fifteen years, arrived at Auckland by the Awatea on Monday; He intends to spend a week in New Zealand before leaving by the Aorangi next Tuesday on his way to England, where he will spend his furlough.

Dr. W. Hellenthal, German Consul for New Zealand and Samoa, is paying an official visit to Auckland. He' will be welcomed by members of the German Club on Thursday evening, and will return to Wellington towards the end of the week.

The Rev. Dr. E. N. Merrington, master of Knox College, Dunedin, who, has been abroad for several months, will leave Sydney by the Awatea next Friday on'his return to New Zealand- Dr. Merrington attended the Institute of Pacific Relations Conference in California and the tercentenary of Harvard University. .
