NORWEGIAN DECORATION

The following announcement was made yesterday by the Consul for Norway, Mr. J. Halligan:—

"It has pleased his Majesty King Haakon of Norway to appoint Mr. Birger Lynneberg, of Ngaio, Wellington, Chevalier of the First Class of the Order of Saint Olav. His Majesty has honoured him in this way for the many services he has rendered to Norway."

Mr. Lynneberg was formerly acting consul for Norway, prior to the appointment of Mr. Halligan, and has done a considerable amount of consular work at various times.
