MERCANTILE LEAGUE
' The management committee of' the ■Wellington Mercantile Cricket League met last evening, Mr. E. F. Casey presiding. Those present were Messrs. J. Young, E. Martin,1 A. Jennings, King, S. Martin, D. Calcinai, J. McArthur, N. Aldridge. Reporting on the match the league representative team had with the Wellington. Association team on Anniversary Day, Mr. King said that the league's team had performed with credit against such strong opposition. The members had appeared to lack confidence, with the result that they had not done justice to their abilities. A vote of thanks was given to Mr. "King for his services as manager. ■ After much discussion on the subject of the colour and style of representative and club caps for all players in the league, it was decided that a sub-committee consisting of Messrs N. Aldridge (convener), J. McArthur, and W. King should be appointed to look into the matter and report to the management committee. Reports were received from the financial sub-committee and the recording secretary.
