ICES ON SUNDAYS

A group of British M.P.s is concerned that ice cream cannot be sold from certain shops on Sundays. A Bill has been presented by Mr. Roland Robinson to provide that, the Shops (Sunday Trading Restriction) Act passed in 1935 shall not apply to any person wholly or mainly employed in the sale of ice cream (including wafers and edible containers). The backers include five Conservatives, one LiberalNational, one Liberal, and Mr. A. P. Herbert.
