COLOUR CAMERA MAN.
Meet Len Roos! He is the globetrotting camera man of Warner Bros. First National, who : recently arrived .n New, Zealand, to film the first comolete featurette, with this country as ts subject, entirely in natural colour. Vtr. Roos has a special colour camera ,vhich records what the camera's eye ;ees before it on two distinct nega,ives. The process is called cine:olour, and an example of it will >oon be seen when Warner's release 'Pearl of the Pacific," which Mr. Roos ilmed in Hawaii. The Warner camera nan is in New Zealand at the instigaion of Mr. George M. Dillon, general nanager of Warner Bros., First Naional, in this country, and he will rcnain for something like a month tourng both islands getting shots of the ihief scenic spots,.the thermal regions, nountain peaks, and so on. Incilently, such places at the Franz foseph Glacier and • Mount Cook will ie taken from an aeroplane at a low Jtitude. A dialogue commentary will >c added in the Hollywood or New fork studios of Warner Bros., not inly in" English but in all principal oreign languages.
