OAMARU, February 3,
A: positive case of infantile paralysis, a six-years-old girl from Enfield, was admitted to Oamaru Public Hospital on Tuesday. She is suffering from muscular weakness. A suspected case from within the borough of Oamaru —the first case— was admitted to hospital today, the patient being a boy of five to six years of age. DUNEDIN, February 3. A woman, aged 22 years from Hillgrove, North Otago, was admitted to Dunedin Hospital for observation tonight. CHRISTCHURCH, February 3. A case of infantile paralysis in the city was reported to the medical officer of health today. The patient is a girl aged 19, who was-admitted to the Public Hospital on Monday evening for observation. The diagnosis, completed today, proved positive. There is no paralysis. This is the first case reported for a fortnight. INVERCARGILL, February 3. A girl aged 13 from Lowther, near Lumsden, was admitted to Southland Hospital this afternoon with definite paralysis. There are now three cases of paralysis in hospital.
