MARTARA MAKES TRIP
(Special to tho "Evening Post.")
PALMERSTON N., This Day.
Martara, whose final trial on Monday morning indicated that he had made good progress since his successful visit to the recent Wellington Meeting, left yesterday morning by float for New Plymouth and he is to be a starter in tomorrow's Taranaki Cup. After that race he will immediately return south and proceed to Wingatui for the Dunedin Meeting next week.
■ Martara was accompanied north by the two-year-old Wildflower and by the jumpers Benedictine and Forest Glow. W. Pine decided over the weekend to reserve Dungarvan, Symcony, and Cloudy Bay for the Egmont Meeting and they have not gone to New Plymouth.
